A Daily Maze

Being an actress is an uphill battle. It is so rewarding because I truly have a calling to do what I do. I have my goals and life plans laid out. I pray that I, along with my plans, stay in God's will.

With that being said, I have always been a very self-driven individual. It's just part of my personality. I truly believe that ANYTHING is possible through faith. I have worked so hard and I have been so blessed. However, I have realized that just because one door closes, does not mean that my career is over. It has barely begun. I WILL get that big break, that open door, if you will. I'm very head/spirit strong and I believe that comes in handy in this profession.

Recently, I have came to an analogical conclusion to what this uphill battle is equivalent to. Think of a maze. A giant, arduous maze. You can get lost. You can give up. You can face the same turns and walls over and over. I choose to get up, dust myself off, and stay strong mentally. When they say you have to have a tough skin to be in this industry, they were not kidding.

Not knowing what is next is part of the journey. Not getting a "yes" for every opportunity you reach at, is only a piece of the journey. The obstacles do not define me. I will find a way over, under, around, or through it. Just remember, everyone is facing the unexpected on a daily basis. It's how you handle YOURSELF and your own reactions, that truly matters.
